This
double tube, Mil-spec 3rd Generation, 64/L/P night vision system is designed to
be used as a helmet mounted, bi ocular assembly. It enables the aviator to view
objects at night from as close as 10 inches to infinity with only a simple focus
adjustment!
The
ANVIS-9 system gives helicopter pilots the capability to judge rotor clearance
while remaining masked and negotiating terrain obstacles. This system has been
tested and successfully used on missions in hostile territory while flying Cobra
and Apache helicopters as well as various other aircraft.
